    "Dont move here for the schools as the high school has poor extra curricular programs!, school has known issues with bullying but dont take care to resolvet, teachers and administration dont communicate with students and parents. some teachers in tenure need to update their teaching skills and testing. Grade schools although are great!"

    "Horrible school district. If you want your child bullied to death by athletes or a huge lack of extracurriculars then go to Johnsburg. All of the other posts must have been by teachers. After 11 years in this district I could not be more disappointed in the lack of growth in technology or peer support."

    "Johnsburg is smaller than most schools around such as Prairie Ridge and Richmond-Burton. The teachers are above average in teaching and capability. Despite the lack of honors classes, our students are very smart and well-rounded. Most go to great universities such as UofI, Northwestern, and sometimes Ivy League schools. We have a small number of extra-curriculars that any student to get far in (unlike a big school) but it puts a lot of pressure on them because of that. But, our schools community service serves as five stars since many give to the community in some way."

    "Do not consider this school if you have honor students or students with special needs. They can deal with average high school students and the small atmosphere is OK, but students above or below average is where you will experience difficulty. They lack some of the opportunities and resources that other schools in the county offer as well. We transferred from another school in the county not expecting such a drastic change."

    "JHS is a small school where everybody knows each other. The sense of the small, tight knit community brings everyone together. The teachers at JHS do a nice job of showing the students that they do truly care about them and are there for them. My math teacher won the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year Award my senior year. JHS provides its students with a positive learning environment and a variety of activities to make every student be apart of the community."
