"My overall experience has been amazing! I have a group of close friends, favorite teachers who love teaching and helping me, and a strong base for the diligence and knowledge needed to attend a good college. Lake Travis High School is a good school with string support from the community. The only thing that I would point out is that although we do have a state-renowned football team, it seems like most of the funds go to football and that the school only cares about football. It would be nice if other electives and even other athletic sports were given more support and more funds. We need to be a more balanced school, when it comes to extra-curriculars/electives."

"Lake Travis gave me a great education, but most students live in a rich kid bubble"

"There is a lot of work given to you at lake Travis, but it helps to prepare you for college."

"Although I have had few bad experiences with unqualified and unfair teachers, I have personal bonds with many teachers. Most of my teachers never mind answering my questions when I come in outside of class, nor do they ever seem bored when they teach. I believe that most of the teachers at my school truly care about their students and do sacrifice a lot of their personal time to make sure their students get the best education possible."

"The teachers at Lake Travis High School set very high standard for their students. Mostly, this is great; it allows the students to be pushed to succeed. However, so much pressure is put on the students to succeed that almost every student has an extreme fear of failure. Students will spend hours on homework and projects to impress the teachers and get the highest grade possible. Some parents are frustrated that they never see their children because they are always doing homework. The teachers overload us with work in order to prepare us for college, but students feel bogged down by all the work. I believe the teachers are giving us this workload in good nature, but they forget that we don't just take one class. We are enrolled in at least six classes with a multitude of work in each one. I think teachers should create a more intensive class and then give out less homework."
