"Chopticon High School is fairly unique. Despite being situated in a very rural area, the school and county overall manages to stay quite progressive. Recently the One-Hour Lunch was implemented, giving everyone the same time for lunch split into two halves in order to give students access to any help or study time that they need. There are more and more online resources being provided such as Membean and Albert, both of which are very beneficial to students. The only drawback of the school is that there are not many options. There are the basic core classes but there are very few academic electives."

"My experience at Chopticon High School makes me a more well-rounded individual. The school has many programs and opportunities to get involved in to make your resume stronger. It also has classes that prepare me for college level courses and work load. The school also does a good job at making sure that the children also have fun and enjoyable school functions that bring us together as a whole."

"Chop can be a great experience. It's what you make of it. Some of the teachers are amazing and want nothing more than you to be the best version of yourself possible. Other teachers seem as if they don't care for their job. The food is terrible. The administration I would call slightly above par. They have changed a few rules since I left and it seems to be a healthier environment for students now, both physically and mentally."

"During my time at Chopticon High, I have taken various honors classes and participated in several clubs after school. Chopticon is a close-knit school that takes pride in their sports and their band. Chopticon is a good school to attend if school pride and sports are of value to the student. That being said, I think academics and faculty (especially in regular classes) could be improved. Teachers often did not provide a "valuable" lesson. We often had a packet of worksheets placed in front of us and that was the majority of class. I also think that this school needs a better meal plan for their students. Usually we received an unhealthy, soggy piece of pizza and fries hard as a brick for the side. Chopticon is an average school to attend- that is, if you want an average high school experience."
