"From my experience at Souhegan, I believe that the level of parent involvement is highly dependent on the student's involvement in class activities. The more activities a student is involved in, the more likely a parent is willing to support different extracurricular activities and Souhegan itself. In all, I have found that parents are often willing to help Souhegan in any way necessary. Whether it be through putting together sports banquets or driving kids to games or competitions, parents are there to help students succeed in any way possible."

"Souhegan teachers offer a unique, engaging academic experience with every class. Throughout my four years of Souhegan, I can honestly say that I have never had a teacher whose class I was not fond of. Every teacher goes above and beyond to make sure that each student not only understands the material, but that they understand how the information is used in the real world too. Through my classes, I have been able to see real life examples as to how the information we are learning in class connects to specific careers or other things. Overall, I believe that Souhegan teachers do an incredible job of ensuring that students retain the curriculum and understand why the material covered is essential to understand for college and the real world."

"There are possible two, but definitely one teacher in this school that's questionable. But beyond them, the teachers are dedicated, passionate and believe in the Coalition of Essential Schools teaching methods. We call the teachers by their first names, and this can tend to freak out some adults, but it creates an atmosphere where the teacher is a guide for students to become self-directed learners. Freshman year can be tough for some kids, but this struggle actually makes them more accountable and ready for college."

"The downside is the school is VERY clique-oriented. But what would you expect for a small town. There also have a non-existent computer science program. The upside is there are a tremendous amount of classes to choose from. Community Council keeps everyone, parents, teachers and community members engaged in the school. The education is excellent if you're willing to push yourself. The whole approach is to help you learn your learning style, and how and what you like to learn, so you can choose the right career and college. I love the teachers and the education."
