"Students at Frderick Douglass Elem. do not recieve the neccessary intruction to be suceessful in the future. Starting from the top (admin.) to the teacher, something needs to be done about this learning enviroment ASAP!!! My child will not be attending FDE next school year!!!!"

"there is lack of concern for the students by the staff. the school's policy of telling administrative staff when a child is hit is totally ignored by the staff. when a student does tell, the staff has, on many occassions, asked the child 'why are you being a snitch?:, or the child is totally ignored. There is a lack of parent-teacher-administrative unity. there is no follow up."

"Douglass has dedicated teachers and staff, who really put worth the effort for these kids. My son just spent his first year there (in Kindergarten) and received a lot of individualized attention."

"I am a parent of two kids in Frederick R. Douglass Elementary school. The kids like very much to study in there but I think they should have more security in the school and deal with the students that are trouble makers."
