"I am very pleased with this school. I like that they are very structured, and well, yes strict. Middle school years are when children usually get into trouble with things like peer pressure and raging hormones and bullying. And although the school can't stop this 100%, I do feel my child is in a safe and appropriate environment. The campus is beautiful and well kept. The office staff is very nice and professional-a pleasant change from typical miami public school offices. My child has advanced classes and I believe she is getting a great education. The teachers are very dedicated and my child is happy with all her classes and teachers, despite the fact she gets a lot of homework. Everyday I pick her up she says her day was "Awesome!". You can't beat that. The school has all the latest technology with computers and smart boards in every class and the new Studio Arts program is a great addition to the school. They have after school clubs and sports to keep the kids learning and interacting with their peers and teachers. I would recommend this school to anyone."

"I'm a student currently in Zelda and I could say this school is pretty good. I am in the Studio of The Creative Arts and they are really on top of you. The security guards prowl around looking for students that pick fights and have a uniform malfunction. The administration greets you but, I can say they may treat you like a little child. But, every school has there flaws. I personally love the school but, they do have some teachers with loads of attitude and they do give a lot of homework! I think if you're looking for a school this should be one of your choices."

"A new school (4 yrs) that conducts itself like an established school. Teachers are strong, administration on task & security top notch. When parents & students complain that it is too strict- well those are the same parents dropping their 12 yr olds at mall unsupervised so they can have a free night. Maybe this is why parent involvement is semi-discouraged.... Children need guidance & consequences 2. How else are we going to raise independent responsible adults. "Thank you" Zelda for supporting my efforts! Zelda has organized sports/clubs- the teacher sponsors r passionate - idk if they get paid xtra for it - but they believe in doing it right! Kudos to those teachers & I hope they hear my resounding "thank you" above the other whiny undisciplined parents who just want the easy way out. Honestly, if u dont like it- there is a "charter" school around the corner & they dont turn anyone away- bad grades, trouble maker.. & they will miraculously change your D student into an A student! Standards lowered to meet the low hanging fruit? I have bigger hopes & dreams for my kids_ when they get into the REAL world, I want them to excel & be responsible & ambitious & well mannered."

"I graduated from Zelda last year, & let me tell you that school ruined my middle school years. Horrible teachers, with rude attitudes, HORRIBLE students, very rude always making fun of each other in the meanest ways and always trying to make someone feel bad, or unwanted. no fun activities, way to strict, and the Administration think way to high of themselves. If you want to have a good 3 years in middle school, go to any other school that's not Zelda."

"I am very impressed with the quality of teachers at this school and with the level of discipline enforced. I am shocked by parents who complain that the school is too strict - these are middle school children and require structure! This is one of the few schools a parent can feel confident that their child will be most safe. Now I do feel that unless a child is being taught in an advanced or gifted class, their education will be standard - having several children to compare, I see the HUGE difference in the work that one does over the other but I also understand that this has to do more with florida's level of STANDARD education than Zelda's. The teachers who teach AP or Gifted are ambitious and take their job very seriously - they make me very proud. And when you compare Zelda's test scores with that of other reputable and well established schools - well that tells the best picture. They are quite impressive. Add to that their new Arts focused program and their beautiful campus and involved staff- its a regular school that acts like a Magnet School should act. Too many Magnet schools seem to have an element of danger to counterbalance their benefits. this one does not."
