"I have to say the teachers do an alright job but the administrator and staff are pretty rude. Im concerned how they handle the children in the nurse's station. As for the principal, I'm glad she is retiring because I'm sure they will get someone who handles situations better if they arise."

"I recently relocated to the TYNES Elemntary school district. The office administration is terrible - very rude. Everytime I visit the office - the secretary/administrator gives me the same attitude - which is uncalled for.The parking lot is dangerous - in order to pick your child up from school, you have to travel back down the one way street you just came up - forcing you to face oncoming traffic and school buses."

"The administrative staff and leadership at this school has made our first 2 years of school miserable. Our kindergarten teacher was wonderful but our 1st grade teacher would have done better choosing to be a prison guard for hardened offenders than impressionable 6 year olds. The curriculum is fine. I think they focus too much on certain subjects but we have been able to supplement at home to keep him where I think he needs to be. My biggest problem is the office staff. I sometimes wonder if they sit around and try to find ways to make things harder for the parents. They are rude and discourteous. As soon as the housing market picks up, I hope to sell and move to another neighborhood not zoned for Tynes."
