"While small class sizes are a plus, there is very little offered at this school in terms of class choices . There is only one language offered . The is very little choice as far as optional curriculum . Having so few students means fewr teachers are employed .Ergo less class choices. Sports programs are practically nonexistant , if you want to join a team you have to join a Keansburg or Keyport team. Do your children's future a huge favor andeither send them to a private school or move to Middletown or Rumson. RFH is an amazing high school with wonderfully diverse choices and oppurtunity to actually prepare your child for the oppurtunities of the future."

"Great school! The best kept secret on the Bayshore with small class sizes and that great community feeling. The faculty and staff know your child and what's going on with them."

"I, a former student of HHRS, have decided to take the courtesy of writing my own review. I went to HHRS for about a year and a half, so therefor I made it through 7th and half of 8th grade. I started off in the honors class, which was okay, even though I struggled through the year, I still made A's and B's. But as 7th grade went on I started to notice that the teachers really didn't wanna teach, and we're in my opinion, just trying to make it through the day. Yelling at the student, being extremely unfair and aggrivated. Accept for 1 teacher, our Social Studies teacher, he was an inspiration for me to work hard. The honors classes also, unfairly, reward the kids who are doing great, and give no support what so ever to the kids who are struggling, or giving up."

"HHRS is a small school which is trying its best--however, its best is often not enough. Teachers, especially those in the History and English departments, often do not know what they are talking about. I've seen students in my class be silenced when they knew more information about a particular topic than the teacher. The languages department is also lacking--the only in-school language class is Spanish! HHRS will also place the higher-scoring students in so-called Honors classes. However, the work is generally the same expected of the non-Honors students! Do not be fooled by the rigor described in the course catalog."
