"I started attending Lakota in Kindergarten. I left in my freshman year, due to personal reasons, and went to school up north. I chose to come back to East; I had always heard it was such a great school. I hadn't heard that it's only great if you fit into a specific mold. Most of the kids haven't experienced much, making their views on things seem very shallow. There are many academically 'gifted' kids there, but that isn't all that a person needs to succeed in life. The administration is very incompetent, to say the least. No one knows who is supposed to do what, sending you around in circles trying to accomplish things. The teachers themselves are pretty cool. I like most of them; they all have different personalities. :) I will do whatever it takes to not return to East after this year. I know I'm only wanted for my scores."

"Lakota East still teaches relavent subjects that get the students ready for college or a number of trades."

"East was a fantastic school, and it does have clocks, digital clocks in fact, everywhere. Yes it is cold, but that is the same with every school I've been to, usually the heat isn't controlled in that building so nobody in the building can change that. If you are looking for a place with great academics, and extracurriculars for everybody East is for you."

"My school doesn't have clocks. Why would i want to attend a school that doesn't teach me time management? No one understands that you need to budget your time while taking tests or else you won't finish and it's impossible to do that without a clock. I would use my cellphone, but those are banned as well but that is understandable. Also, no one seems to know how to turn on the heat here. I freeze my butt of everyday. Some may say that keeping the school cold would keep the students awake but i know from experience that it makes it impossible to concentrate on anything but how cold you are. No one comes to school anymore because we have no incentive like our exam exemptions. I just think that clocks and heat should be a given in any high school but hey, thats just one students opinion."

"As a former educator with 35 years experience in 5 different districts I would rate Lakota East at the very top in regards to the staff and their desire to work with the students to insure they receive a great education. In fact most go over and above to help struggling students (as well as those who are more academically gifted)."
