"There are students that get involved, but it is usually the same people from year to year. I don't really see a lot of peer pressure. Acceptance isn't bad since the school district is small."

"The schedule process is very easy. Students receive a packet of the classes with the descriptions and you are given a worksheet to complete. There are a lot of options to choose from for electives. It is best to list all the electives you would like to get into cause the chances are great that you will get into at least 2 or 3 of the electives you choose."

"I think our teachers could have better quality teaching if the teachers wouldn't have to spend so much time on State mandatory testings throughout the school year. Some of the teachers styles of teaching is good if you aren't a student that has any type of learning disability. Most of the teachers are interested in the students grading if the student shows interest that he/she cares about what their grade is. If the student doesn't care, the teacher seems to not care as well. The consistency of grading varies between teachers. Most of the teachers will count a lot of the homework assignments towards the grade which helps students that struggle with test taking. The student can make up the part of the grade in homework assignments. Some teachers will give extra credit for just having a parent sign off on the most recent grade sheet for the class. I like this idea cause then the parents are aware of all the assignments that have been assigned and what score you received or if you didn't complete an assignment. The communication with the teachers is good if the student communicates to the teacher. For the most part, if the student doesn't communicate to the teacher about any type of difficulties the teacher will just let it go."

"My favorite experiences are being in the marching band since 7th grade. The marching band has very involved parents that make it a great organization to belong to. I wouldn't choose this school again. Because the school district is very small and most of the students belong in cliques which makes it difficult to have true friends. What makes are school unique is kindergarten through senior high ride the same bus. The kindergarten are still doing half day school days which makes it unique since most kindergarten are going full days. Our school district isn't making that mandatory until the states says it is mandatory for full days."

"For the most part, I enjoyed my years at Millersburg High School. The majority of the teachers and administration are very helpful. I believe that the math department could use some improvement and was disappointed toward the end of my senior year with how Mrs. Hepler taught Chemistry and her lack of help with it. Although there isn't a variety of classes as a larger school would have, the number of classes there are acceptable. There are a few different clubs for students to join to become involved in. Conservation and the Archery Club were two of my favorites that I had joined. Schools lunches were simply alright and I most often packed. Health and safety is pretty good and should improve after renovations to the school is complete. Resources and facilities are pretty good for the most part and should also improve after renovations. Our school is slowly coming up to speed when it comes to technology. There is definitely a lack of diversity at Millersburg where the majority of students are white and most would identify as Christian. My biggest problem was probably how politics seemed to be involved in sports programs far too often where I had been slighted."
