"The teachers at Main Street School of Performing arts genuinely care about each and every student who walks in the door. At MSSPA, almost all of our classes integrate the arts - music, theatre, and dance. All the teachers are extremely knowledgeable in their subject areas, and they assign projects required to utilize our arts area in order to apply the themes and ideas learned in class. Each teacher has their own unique style. Some utilize writing on whiteboards or chalkboards, while others use projectors to display presentations. MSSPA does not have Smartboards, or the highest level of technology possible, however, this does not hinder the students' learning in any way, shape, or form. In fact it enhances it. It forces students to think outside of the box. Instead of creating PowerPoint presentations for a project, ideas and themes are portrayed in extremely insightful ways. I owe it all to the teachers at Main Street School of Performing Arts for challenging me in ways I did not even believe to be possible. Each and every single teacher communicates with each and every single student, whether it be inside or outside of the classroom. They respond to emails promptly, are constantly conducting grade checks, and want to help each student succeed as much as they are fully capable."

"Main Street School of Performing Arts has allowed me to combine the two things I love and appreciate most; my education and dancing. At this school, on average, I take 3 academic classes and 1 arts class per quarter. When I graduate, I will have a Dance Endorsement on my diploma. This is something that not many other schools offer. In addition, I participate in Dance Company and National Dance Honors Society. While our school does not offer class such as Home Ec., or Woodshop, I do not feel that I am missing anything. Everything that I would participate in at a normal high school is provided in my arts area, which makes it even better since it integrates something I love. In addition, as a Dance Major at this school, I am able to participate in 2 dance performances per year. The amount of other performance opportunities are endless, and I can definitely say that this aspect has prepared me extremely well for a career in the arts. I am extremely comfortable talking and communicating with all teachers at this school and can feel the positivity they exude. Every teacher wants me to succeed and to do the best they know I can do. They respect me, and I in turn respect them highly. I would not think twice about choosing this school again if I could do it all over. I would not make any other choice. This school has so positively influenced my life, and I am eternally grateful."

"I began high school in a very difficult place in my life. MSSPA made my life easier, better, and fun. I don't know where I would be right now if it wasn't for MSSPA. The teachers, the students, the theatre, the music, the dance, all of it is amazing. I wouldn't want to go to any other school. Everyone who attends MSSPA is lucky and should take the opportunities they have to make the most out of their experience. I owe a lot to MSSPA. And I plan on visiting regularly."

"The teachers at MSSPA are all hardworking, down to earth caring people. Being a small charter school, the pay is not the best. But the teachers choose to work their because of the strong community. The teachers are close with the students, and care about the well being of them. All of the teachers are enthusiastic about what they teach, which helps students become more engaged in the curriculum. They incorporate the performing arts into everyday classes to help students who may learn in different ways. The teachers at MSSPA are amazing people, who bring their all to work everyday."

"I never, ever had a good experience with teachers, until I went to Main Street. The teachers are phenomenal and go above and beyond for anyone. They are passionate about educating their students."
