"I have three children that have attended Mission Hills for 11 years. I would have to say the teachers are excellent and our first 9 years were wonderful! I feel compelled to write a review for those who are thinking about enrolling. There has been four principals since we began. It seems that there is now no school board. They have a parent "pact". Do not be confused the school board is dissolved. This is a fact. At the end of the school year they had budget cuts and downsizing because the 2012-2013 enrollment is down by half. I wasn't involved but it seems it is for political reasons. I think a school board would have helped. (This is my opinion.) We lost quite of few of our beloved teacher because of their years of service made their salaries higher. Teachers here do not make as much as public schools.( i interviewed) So in the elementary level you will be most likely not being getting the foundation of how this school was built. We chose to stay because our youngest child is in jr. high and is a solid program. So sad that this is program is falling apart after 32 years of serving the community."

"My daughter just completed her first year at MHCS (4th grade) and we could not be happier with the whole experience! I have never seen a more devoted and loving staff of teachers, aides and administrators. Her teacher went the extra mile for all of her students and showed them so much love and respect. Having come from a public school, I can say that when the school bell rang at the end of the day, the teachers quickly ushered the students out. The door would be shut and the teacher headed to the lounge. They were "off duty". Not so at MHCS. My daughters teacher would be available for up to 2 hours most days. She also would be in class at least 45 minutes before school and offered extra help. Obviously, since we are new to the school, we have not seen a "decline" , as has been mentioned in other reviews, but I can honestly say that we have been completely satisfied with our experience and the facilities. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants strong academics, but most importantly wants a school lead by people with their eyes and hearts fixed on serving the Lord."

"Great christian school with loving teachers and staff. Students leave 8th grade with a solid christian foundation and education to excel in any high school."

"We have been at MHCS for 9 years now. We have loved every day there! Our child has grown up there and is now a young adult with a solid foundation in Christian character. The teachers have always been loving, caring and always preparing our child for the next year. They are more than amazing! The grounds and classrooms have more than improved over the years! It is always clean and organized and safe. The new playground is more than beautiful and fun for the kids! My child has been a part of sports, musicals, art programs and after school care. We are so excited to be sending a new little one there and seeing them grow! We absolutely love MHCS!!!! It is a blessing to get to be a part of this school."

"For many years my family was a member of Mission Hills Church and my daughter attended Mission Hills Christian School since JK. For the first 5 years, it was amazing. In the past 2 years it's gone down hill!! The school grounds are not kept, portable buildings are shabby condition, City of RSM coding dept. has paid numerous visits due to various parent complaints about poor condition & safety of our children at the school. School laid off over 1/3 of teaching staff last week & announced to parents that next school year (2012-2013 ) school year will have combined classrooms (both due to low enrollment). Needless to say - we no longer attend church here and will no longer be sending our child to a 2nd rate private school. It's very sad to witness the fall such a wonderful school - to the pathetic place it is today. Parents don't take my word for it please, please do your homework, ask many questions, call the RSM city and ACSI and ask about complaints made."
