"I have three kids attending this school, I think they have each received a quality education. I value that the student body here is diverse as is the neighborhood. As with any school, my kids have had teachers from excellent to mediocre. Most of them closer to excellent. I find that no matter where the school, the teachers will ensure your kids receive the attention they need when the parents are involved and the teachers know it. A simple parent teacher conference and e--mail communication will usually suffice. I staff is very professional and moreover, my son has left there a well prepared honor student who continues to excel in junior high.."

"Mrs. Parks is the best. I was recommended her by another parent who's daughter had Mrs. Parks for her kindergarten teacher the previous year. Mrs. Parks is very enthusiastic, helpful, patient and smart. She interacts with the students well and she teaches the children to respect her and each other without a doubt they know what is expected of them. I rate her an A+ I just hope to find a first grade teacher with her style next year."

"Every school is what you make it. I am committed to being invvolved and holding my child and her teachers accountable. This is our 7th year here and we couldn't be happier. The ideal small neighboorhood school for my family."

"As far as education goes Lantern Lane is middle of the road. Mrs Parks one of the Kindergarten teachers is excellent. When my son got to first grade it seems to me the teachers aren't nearly as good. Most of the things he's being taught now we learned with Mrs Parks. We're going to move him to another school for the 2nd grade."

"The school seems ok, with a mix of quality teachers and teachers with good intentions but less than great ability. Students receive an average education, but are not pushed to excel and parent involvement is very limited. Resources are also limited, which hampers growth and development of students. Economic and socio-demographic conditions seem to have had a negative effect on student performance."
