"Missouri City Middle School has a beautiful new building this year and the atmosphere combined with the new dress code for the students is simply amazing. This has really transformed MCMS into a competitive place to get a first rate education - but it takes the parents, students and administrators cooperation to accomplish this objective. I've met with one of the top administrators at MCMS and was impressed with the level of concern and professionalism he had with the students and other personnel. He was in charge of discipline and really had a heart for the kids and his realistic expectations for them. I must say that Missouri City Middle School is certainly on the right track for the students of FBISD and I am looking forward to hear more great news from this school. Submitted by a parent"

"The principals and counselors work hard to provide a good level of academics, however they have a very challenging job. The school has too many disciplinary problems. There is a severe lack of parent involvement. The school is over-crowded; my daughter's 6th grade English/Language Arts class has 30 students. The teachers are victimized by foul language, threats and theft on the part of the students. The Fortbend school district has a good reputation, but it is truly sad that the district ignores the needs of this school. There are many leaks throughout the building's ceilings, sewage back-up in P.E. areas and the caffeteria, torn carpets, bad odors, and a broken a/c and heating system to mention a few flaws. Overall, the district and leaders need to give much more attention to the needs of this school. It is apparent, they just don't care."

"The principal is doing a wonderful job. He has control of his school and is the leader, not untrained professionals as in other schools. He believes in parental support and makes it known. He seems to be very fair and he listens to what is said and what is not said. I enjoy communicating with him. My childrens' success is a direct result of his professional training and human compassion. Parents, he is a leader so don't expect him to follow you. He does not cave in to foolish demands so get on your children, control their behavior and they'll be just fine."
