"Very disappointed with Deans Campus of Brooks Crossing. I have a child in Deans Campus and another child in the Main Campus of Brooks Crossing. While the Main Campus is managed well the Deans Campus needs serious revamp. Teachers and staff are too young and inexperienced. Deans Campus upholds extreme policies far from a community based public school. The staff especially is very rude and even condescending. School events, such as Halloween, are a bore and a total waste of time children and parents. Children dressed in costumes were simply walked in circles if not for the music it seemed we were in mourning. Deans Campus is operated in an authoritarian manner, has no time to listen to parents concerns, even makes parents feel like we owe them, and that we should be fortunate to have them teach our children. What arrogance! Incredible insensitivity and indifference to the community that actually pay their salaries! Oh, did I forget to mention that it s an all-women run school. Wonder if the BOE is aware of how parents feel about Deans Campus of BC. Frustrated parent."

"The people at Dean's school seem to acquire manners that are starkly dictatorial. They do not listen, they think they know it all and they have this set number of objectives on what they construe to be the best educational policy for our children. If the norm is in question, the school lacks acceptance and works instead on a punishing program. This is detrimental to the socialization/behavioral progress of the total school population, it negates the positive behavior of teachers towards furthering the welfare and education of their students, and it creates a pessimistic front with parents who cannot understand why their problems/suggestions cannot be heard better. The physical make up of the school is in question too; why aren't there male teachers supplementing towards a healthier school environment? Worse still, the attitude of the school sparks off fire right down to the manner in which the school manages phone calls from parents. This is a school that needs training in understanding what the greater goals are towards the community and why the responsibility of the school is first and foremost to the children and NOT to themselves!"

"The negative comments here are bias and completely untrue. Should it matter what race children are?!???! I honestly thought we were past racism but if people are too ignorant to realize that I guess their opinion doesn't matter anyway. Teachers are young, commited and the children look up to them. As a former student I thought this was an excellent school and so did my two brothers that have went there. As for the budget Brooks Crossing along with every other man/woman in America is not having an easy time with money, regardless Brooks Crossing provides its students with everything one child might need including extra help. So unless money grows on trees for you and can afford to spend large sums on tutors or a private school Brooks Crossing isn't a bad choice at all"

"Very dissappointed with the DEANS school branch of Brooks crossing! There is no accountability by the teacher for the performance of the children. Lame excuses of budget cuts and personal problems are used to cover their inadeptness at doing their jobs. Partiality towards the volunteer parents' kids is high so that they can be party to the ongoing mayhem. Basically it boils down to 2 things , if you want your child to advance in his/her studies ,1. Hire a tutor, 2. Put your child in the tutoring classes....So pay your taxes and spend more money...Because there is no accountability....."

"BC does little to promote a sense of community within the school. I agree with the issue previously noted regarding ethnic breakdown within the class. This school does not do the minorities justice when placing them in a class. The school is overrun by the Asian population, who keep other races at bay. They move in to our community because of the school system, but then segregate themselves by keeping their own community within our community. From someone who has lived in SB my entre life, it is a shame to see your children who are NOW the minority go through this."
