"Prior to coming to this school I was in private school and we had a heavy course load. When I got to this school I didn't have to lift a finger to get good grades. Now I am paying for all of that as I am attending Rutgers and the course load is heavy and classes are not easy. I feel that Monroe did not prepare me for college. HELP!"

"I was at student at MTHS from 2002 to 2006. As the years went by, I felt as if the organization of the school decreased. The school also became more interested in disciplining certain students, rather than educating everyone. Isn't that why we come to school? Also, my guidance counselor was very unimformative and I never knew about the NJ Stars program, which I would have been eligible for. The school does have tracking for different levels of students, but they do no do too much for the students who need extra help except send them to alternate school (which is a total waste of time). Overall, the school was okay, and I feel that it needs much improvement from when I was there."
