"I used to volunteer for this district, and have always encountered excellent teachers! Please do keep up the great work!!"

"Schools are a reflection of the community, this is a good community with a good school. The only reason I would not give this school 5 stars is because the are to small to offer a wider selection of course work. It would be nice to see the school focus completely on academic achievment and forget about NCLB or AYP. But, that is the nature of schools they are being choked by state and federal policy. Teachers have always been wonderul and helpful, but that is what you get with most small commuity schools. As far as the absence policy if a studnet is 'really' sick or ill the district will bend over backwards for them. Just look at all the fundraising they have done recently for two students who were badly hurt in auto accidents. The absence policy also has an exemption clause for student who are sick."

"Due to job losses and multiple moves, my son completed his senior year at Montague High School. This was the third high school he attended. Of course, I was concerned about this, how he would cope, adapt, etc. I worried for nothing. The staff and students welcomed my son and made him feel right at home. He enjoyed his teachers and classes. He was able to participate in soccer and track which helped him acclimate and make friends. As a parent, I found the students to be polite and friendly. On one visit, a young man held the door for me, looked me right in the eye, and said hello. My husband asked if I knew him. I had never laid eyes on him. I found most of the students to be this polite. We were very happy with the education my son received at MHS."

"Very high standards in business, marketing and taking responsibility as an individual"

"I've read all the input. All are correct from my point of view. Football is number one, no matter what, the principal acts like one of the kids, absences are a problem if you are ill, and the school is a good place to have your children attend. 85% of the teachers are competent in the high school. Office staff is usually too busy doing nothing to help you and are very quick to let you know you are bothering them, even on the phone. The friendliest employees are the janitors, no matter where or when you are in the school. THis is my school. It is like every other business, some good and some not so good. Deal with it!"
