"North newton is not a great school any more, unfortunately... The school's peak performance era is now gone, the school has had a long hard fall in their staff, performance and excellence. This school is unsatisfactory, everything is unsatisfactory, English Deoartment, Math Department, Biology/science department, physical education department, and agricultural. The Ag. Dept. use to be great, it had engine repair, concrete class, brick laying, painting/ paint booth, welding, carpentry. The only "Successful Ag class" was concrete. no that is gone. JUst about every ag class has been shut down. It seems like the teachers have gotten lazier as well. Here is my advise, if you do want your child to succeed, do not put them in North Newton, alas it is going down hill. Either pull your kids out or don't put them in. I think this school would need quite a few new better teachers, better staff over all. I think in the next few years this school may be gone for good, because the ratings and drop out rates are not accurate, there are so many students who leave N.N. to go to a better school. Students are leaving this school left and right. It is sad, I remember going to this school. It is done 4"
"North Newton had quality teachers when I went through from 2000-2004. Teachers like Mr. Geesa, Ms. Combs, and Ms. Ackerman greatly influnced me during my years there. I feel successfull in the military today because of the guidance I received from this school."
