"Out of my four years being in Neptune High School I have ran into a various amount of teachers, all who were different in their opinions, attitudes and teaching. Some of my teachers were not so good, more like barely teaching and not really caring, which caused students not to care; but I also ran into teachers who went above and beyond such as Commander Atkins. He is a teacher who is looked up to by a lot of students and he doesn't really realize how much he changes out lives. Without his heart and passion, many students probably wouldn't be where they are today, and for that, I thank him. He and a few other teachers molded me into who I am, and helped me grow and pursue my goals."

"My school is unique in the fact that no two days are the same. Something always happens, and everyday is a different feeling. My favorite experience through my high school career was when I had Marine Biology. Although I was the only student in my class that was eager to learn, I made the best of it and excelled. I can't say that I would re-live my high school experience just for the mere fact that nothing was the same everyday and it was experiences that I only needed to live through once and get over."

"There a lots of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds represented, the most prominent being African-American. There is an occasional divide due to this, however, specifically towards Caucasian students."

"The teachers are relatively knowledgeable, and classes are not hard to schedule or get into. The only issue is that teachers very seldom take into account the student's other classes, and just pile on the workload without thinking."

"Most of the teachers (specifically those who taught Honors classes) were very knowledgeable, had well-developed teaching strategies, and cared significantly for the success of their students. A few select teachers, however, quite clearly picked favorites. They would pick on certain students they didn't like, and constantly praise and let others get away with things they really shouldn't have. One teacher in particular would simply write the lesson on the board from her notes and refuse to answer any questions since I "should have been paying better attention". Meanwhile, two of her "favorites" would be loudly singing behind me and she wouldn't say a word."
