"As a recent parent, I am going to have to disagree. I have a great dal of experience with high end private schools. This school does not fit that bill. It has a very low endowment, making them fill the school with students from China. I love the campus- it is picturesque. But the people who work there definitely have the big fish in the small pond theory- it feels a bit like the kids have no where to go. Lots of ego and some staff that really needs to retire or move on- they have been there far too long (One Learning Skills teacher in particular). This sexual abuse scandal is not a surprise. Throughout our time there I was told of inappropriate relationships between students and teachers. The school needs to shut down."

"solebury is a great school that saves many peoples lives and I am so grateful that I am able to send my kids there. It is a beautiful campus and there are kids getting into Yale from Solebury."

"Solebury School has a good philosophy that is poorly executed. The idea of letting a child's "mind breathe" is sorely needed in our culture. Unfortunately, current admission standards have dropped and this has led to numerous problems. In addition, the campus lacks proper nursing staff and has no on site counselor. Teacher-Advisors act as surrogate counselors and do not maintain confidentiality. There are some outstanding teachers and they must be disappointed at the current situation on campus."

"The kids are so accepting so my son tells me, but the administrators are AWFUL, the entire school just wants money, always asking for donations. They are also very difficult to deal with, I personally could not stand them, neither could other parents, especially Bill Christy. Some of the teachers are AMAZING, like great people who really care and others are just awful. The learning skills program is awful, and a complete waste of money as they did not help my child with any of his work when he asked for it, the school seams good, but once you pay it is just awful."

"Solebury School was a great experience for our two sons. They had wonderful teachers, a supportive environment, a good curriculum and, most of all, they enjoyed going to school. The reason they enjoyed school is because the atmosphere at Solebury is very satisfying for teenagers. The teachers and administrators treat them with respect, and the students appreciate that. The students are continually encouraged to accept one another, regardless of differences, so bullying and clique behavior is minimal. The school gives the students a lot of independence and control over their time, which helps them feel relaxed and less stressed. Overall, Solebury School is great environment for learning and growing."
