"Great school - good academics, tons of AP courses starting in 8th grade, opportunities to take college classes at Penn State New Kensington, tons of technology, & a well trained staff. The small community seems very supportive of the students and goes above and beyond to help them achieve. Recent grads went to M.I.T. & West Point. The opportunities are there for the students to get an amazing education and they are expected to be involved in their community in a positive way. Besides academics I beleive my kids are learning good values in this this community."

"As a local realtor with 2 children attending schools in the district I am continuously impressed with Burrell. Their new superintendent is very active and progressive; the kids are great and are provided with tons of opportunities. Because of its smaller size, every student has a chance to participate in athletics and extra-circular activities. I have heard this is not the case in huge quad A districts. I feel confident that my customers who buy homes in this school district will also be pleased with Burrell."

"Excellent teachers, wide variety of AP classes, partnership with Penn State New Kensington gives students a unique opportunity to get college courses throughout high school - we have been impressed. Graduates end up at top notch universities."

"In two years Burrell has been reviewed 4 times, yet the two 5 star reviews are on the same day, which is suspect. If you look at the other two reviews they both talk about the sports at Burrell, and those are what ring most true to me. My son had an awful time at the school socially due to his lack of interest in sports, and the administration didn't seem to care about anyone but the athletes. It shouldn't be that hard for an A+ student to find a niche, and when serious allegations of cheating, favoritism and bullying arise, it would be nice for someone in power to actually look into the matter. We ended up doing cyber school for part of the year and then paying for admission into another district the next fall....no such problems since."
