"I am a parent who has had 2 children graduate from the school. Was it expensive? Yes, but it was worth every penny as I see both kids excel academically and socially in high school. Did I agree with every decision made at the school? No, but for the most part, I was happy with decisions made. St. Jude will probably trail some of the public schools in amenities but the way my kids were pushed to excel in the class room put them in the position to succeed in high school. You are not part of a "system" that has to churn out kids unprepared for their next level of education. You are expected to give your best academically every day. The most recent valedictorian of Providence H.S. as well as 3 of the top 10 scores on the most recent Providence entrance exam were St. Jude grads. I can't believe the below comment about the athletics and extra curricular activities. St. Jude has a not-cut policy for athletics, giving kids who couldn't make a team in the public schools, a chance to play a sport they might not get to play in the public schools. And to this day, I still enjoy socializing with parents of my children's former classmates."

"I will premise this point with (I am not a teacher) but a parent who has two children at St. Jude now. I am however on the school board so I have some insight into the education, tuition costs and challenges any school faces now with the economy the way that it is. This school is superior to the NL schools an that is a fact, just look at class sizes alone, or how about the Kindergarten program which is all day compared to NL's three hour at best program. I also need to address the partying, drinking comments, it is called socializing, community which any intelligent person knows you do not get at a public school so why even compare the two, it is embarrassing that the person who said this doesn't understand that at a public school you do not need to have fundraisers. It does not need to be a constant competition and bad mouthing, it is your choice to where you send your kids to school, sending your kids is a sacrifice you make as a family if you live in this area with the taxes being so high already but the fact is that St. Judes is a bargain if you truly care about your kids education and faith development."

"We currently have two children enrolled at St. Jude's. We have found the teachers and the principal to be concerned, actively involved, and willing to listen to parents about issues with their child's education. The family atmosphere encourages parental participation in every way, from recess duty to the school board. We love this school and we know you will too."

"Speaking from experience with our child attending a public school and St. Jude Catholic School in New Lenox, it is common knowledge that Catholic schools provide a more challenging curriculum for most students and promotes morals and ethics, while building family and community relationships."

"St. Jude is a close family oriented school. My son was valdictorian of his class and was well prepared for High School . The teachers are warm and friendly. All the additions that are being made to the school prove that it is growing and succeeding."
