"If you are a good student, someone who earnestly tries to get A's, wants to take honors classes, and do your best, you will get killed at this school with an incredible amount of homework. Stress levels for good students are through the roof. New administration is inundating kids with homework. Most of the students don't care and don't do homework, but the best students--who don't need this amount of homework--are being ground down. Not just honors/AP programs either. Regular classes have a ton of homework too--and AP classes are guaranteed a double load of homework (they brag about this.) Arts programs are good, but the academics kill the time for art, sleep...or anything else in life. Lots of homework over breaks and weekends. The teaching is good, but again, it's been too difficult to appreciate the positives when the homework load is killing. Principal doesn't care that the best students are suffering. Would probably be a better school if the quality of students was better, but too many underachievers (cutting school seems to be a big problem). Sadly, the school could be really good if they would just realize that more homework is not the cure for everything."

"School of art and design is the best school I have ever gone to.My whole life includes moving and changing schools from Ny to Florida, to Pennsylvania, and back to Ny. I came there as a 9th grader and now an experienced sophomore. I 'donno what some people say about this school, but it's an artists dream to be taut there."

"I am a 7th grader and eager to go to this high school. A lot of studens say they have thrived through the teachers and guidence. I hope I do to, and become the graphic designer I've always wanted to be."

"My son attended and graduated from this school with a 92.7 GPA. He is now getting a degree in business even though he worked in Architecture for the 4 years that he attend Art & Design. The teachers worked well with me and the vice principal and all of the dean's were very very helpful and they were very amiable to parents...well, to me! (smile) Does my son still utilize his creative side with his drawing? Of course he does."

"ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SCHOOL I HAVE EVER ATTENDED As an 11th grader attending this school here are my pros and cons Pros -Art programs Cons -Many students who smoke pot -The Guidance counselors are a joke. -Filthy school -Graffiti is all over school propety -Out of date text books -Many not all, teachers don't care enough to push all students to keep trying. -Not enough home work. I was once a student who loved art, it was something I looked forward to doing at school when ever I had the chance but this school has sucked all the love I once had for it out. It is sad seeing how immature, rude and unprofessional some of the guidance counselors and teachers in this school can be."
