"This is a struggling school now. It is placed on the SINI list but they have instituted a tutoring program for Math and English. The problem is that EBC now has to let anyone in and can no longer be selective, hence, you have a lot of students that are not educationally equipped for high school. On the other hand, it is still a 'safe' community school and in NYC that is also important for your child to be safe. The teachers are very qualified and the Special Ed Program is up to date. Caring staff and teachers who strive to get the students focused and on the right educational goal/track."

"The debate program at EBC is excellent. The principal is enthusiastic and cares about the students. I was impressed with the level of excitement for learning at EBC and the charisma of the kids."
