"Although I have made many new friends and had the opportunity to learn about other people's cultures other than mine, I still had a pretty terrible experience at the high school. The environment overall is very miserable, and we are constantly being observed by police, as if we were all criminals. The teachers don't seem to care if we pass or fail, and there are only a few teachers who actually care about their students. The lessons were not easy to understand, and there is barely any school spirit, let alone any fun school trips (they are either ridiculously expensive or have very limited seating)."

"I feel like the teachers only define us by the numbers on our transcript. It isn't fair how they treat the naturally smart students a whole lot better than the students who are actually struggling, and it's those smart kids that get more individual attention. Sometimes there will be instances where they will literally give up on us and not even help us at all when we need it. There were only a few teachers that I liked, such as my music teacher and a few others. He was the one that actually cared about the well-being of his students, and was the only one that cared about how we feel and what was going on in our lives. He was pretty cool, but now he no longer attends the school. So in a way, I kind of lost connection teachers now, and I am almost afraid to even approach them. I wish I had that connection. Maybe it could have helped me with my grades a whole lot more."

"They are really resourceful and friendly. Most teachers try their hardest to teach you."

"I personally like this school because of senior year. You literally get a small taste of what college life is like, so that in your freshmen year of college, you won't necessarily have a complete culture shock or feel lost in your academics. We have really really really great teachers who do a really good job with teaching and are really cool people in general. However, I know that many teachers have left, some good ones and some bad ones as well."

"My experience at this school was great. All of the teachers are willing to help and there are always resources that are available. I have learned so much at my time at MHSHS due to the dedication of the teachers and students. The only disappointing part is the scanners and such, but after a while, you'll get used to it and realize that it is not that bad because it's there for safety, not torture."
