"Being at MVA has been great! I learned that I should never give up when times get rough. Yes it was a lot of work but teachers are always there to help and you can overcome any obstacle as long as you push yourself through it. This school is unique in that it makes students take all regents even if not required and also perform portfolios. This is very important because it helps us prepare for college and the real world. I would come back to this school if I had the chance to because it's where I learned how not to give up and work my best."

"Teachers in this school know much about what they teach and they teach in a way that helps the students understand conceptually. Teachers take their time to help students learn the way that would work best for them because they understand that some students more than others learn in different ways and take more time than other students. Teachers usually use technology, and real world examples in order for us to understand each topic. They do so by making us active note taking sheets. However, if one still doesn't understand we can always go to them for they make themselves available."

"String academics on the 4 core subjects. Teachers are there for your questions and concerns. We even have Saturday school for extra needed tutoring."

"Manhattan Village Academy does not have many extracurricular activities. However, it strongly emphasizes the concept of academics. Our principal heavily emphasizes the ideas of reason, respect, and responsibility. We are being pushed to be effective and successful citizens in our society. I wish we had more activities going on, but this school's drive for success is more important than extracurricular activities. It is a very small school, with only around 400 students, but we are a tight-knit school. I do consider my senior peers to be a second family. We support each other and stand by each other. I really have enjoyed being in MVA and meeting the people who I attend school with."
