"The best thing about my school is the student-teacher relationships. All of my teachers are adults that I can come to about not only just class related things but about advice outside of school or to just strike up a conversation. My school also has a program called Office Hours, where students can come in before school starts and receive help with any homework assignments or ask questions about the class material."

"I've never regretted attending Lab. The environment is great for new and old students alike. It's a small school so it's easy to make friends. The only real problem I've had is juggling my AP classes with extracurriculars."

"The teachers here are great. I feel that they truly care about the students, and they'll remember you even after you have taken their classes. Their teaching styles are unique, but they try their bests to engage students in their work. There are a lot of projects, which helps students better understand the materials they are learning."

"Some of the choices made for courses/grading in the past were not the best, but overall, the school has excellent educators. The teachers are generally fair in grading and liberally allow for make-up testing, late homework submissions, with minor penalties. The one course as noted above was a core AP class, which used an experiemental approach to grading (based on skill building), which proved to be an abject failure and hurt students' grades in their crucial junior year. Parents and students were up in arms about it and the course curriculum was changed this year."

"The people at Lab are really nice and friendly. It isn't like how high school is typically portrayed in movies where people are bullied or miserable. Since it is a relatively small school (I had a graduating class of about 125), everyone in my grade knew just about everyone else. The one drawback would be the lack of diversity of AP classes at Lab, and how they aren't taken as seriously as they should be (especially looking back for college credit)."
