"My daughter, Rebekah a junior has absolutely flourished as a result of being a part of the Academy of Travel and Tourism as well as being chosen to participate in the IPO program. It has been a pleasure to watch her interaction with the teachers and classmates and blossom into such a responsible young lady. My son, Andrew a senior has been granted a four year full tuition scholarship to a college in Albany. What does this say about Port Richmond High School and how they prepare their students for the future. Of course all schools have problems, trials and tribulations, however they are addressed for the most part at Port. Let's give credit where credit is due. It is not very easy being and administrator and/or teacher in the NYC Department of Education beauracracy, but here most rise above it and put the students first."

"Port Richmond is a very wonderful school. There might be some student who put the school down because of their behavior, but other then that the school is very wonderful. The teachers are highly devoted. As for my I grew attached to all of my teachers in Port Richmond High school . And The Gateway Program is very good also run by David Solomon"

"My son is a junior here and in one of the Academy programs. He has incredible teachers and will be well prepared for college. There are several activities for the kids and Mr. Gannon is an incredible man. Like every NYC public school, there are 'problem kids' (cut class, disrupt, bully, etc.), however, the teachers, counselors and student comaraderie far outweigh the few young hoodlums who cause problems every place they go."

"I am a current student at Port Richmond. I am the Salutatorian and am involved in three varsity sports. Port Richmond is the best high school on the island without a doubt. It is very safe and the teachers are wonderful. It helped me achieve as much as possible and I am planning on attending a very prestigious college."
