"This school is right on target. The implement the occupational therapy throughout the day to help with learning, social skills behavior, etc. They implement the speech throughout the day. This school works with the parents at home and anyone else who works with the child. The floortime approach is about building relationships, which is very benefical to those with autism. They use critical thinking skills which is just amazing. They learn academic skills, independent skills, and career skills. The older students do internship at colleges or in a work place of their choice. They learn how to become independent in the community. The Rebecca School addresses food allergies and intolerance, by incorporating various snacks. The school staff and parents meet on Friday afternoon to discuss teaching strategies for each student. Every student in their own way communicated with people. Rebecca school is a dream come true.. More schools like this are needed."

"Opened in September of 2006, Rebecca School is a work in progress. Slow progress, nonetheless, progress. It continues to lack in an implementation of a strong academic curriculum. It's strength lies in implementing the Floortime/DIR method to rehabilitate the students. Professional staff turnover is HIGH. Does not use any kind of behavioral modification. From the most severe to the mildest form of behavior, all behavior is viewed as a form of communication. With less staff turnover, improved academic/curriculum, and continued therapeutic program, Rebecca has a long way to go."
