"The Kindness Award is given each year at Redwood for the outstanding student that has shown kindness throughout the year. This award is kept secret until the Award's Night each year. It is rewarding to see a public school participate in this type of recognition."

"This is our son's 2nd year at Redwood. We, (and he), are impressed with the quality of the teachers, the principle, and the administrative staff. Having come from a private school, we did have concerns about attending a public school, but those concerns were misplaced. Additionally, the honors programs and the band are second to none."

"Love it! Son is a 6th grader. This is our first year there. Redwood is all that I heard it would be and more. They run a tight ship there. Excellent teachers. Challenging curriculum. Top notch award-winning band director. Awesome principal, assistant principal, and administrative staff. My son is thriving there. He is really happy and, therefore, I couldn't be be more pleased."

"Redwood is a very nice looking school. We school choiced here--but have found it to be ok. The middle school that we were suppose to go to has a much better music program--choir and strings. It also has teachers who offer all kids--high and low a chance to be pushed and succeed. I listened to my neighbors and am sorry I did. Redwood is ok--but the kids who went to my home school are having a lot more fun than my kid is--and being pushed to excell. No more school choice for me."

"We were so impressed with the 2008/2009 school year, but this year we are extremly disappointed. The administration has changed and not for the better. The new principal has no control over his administration or students. The Vice Principal seems to be more worried about the dress code than the safety of the students. One parent pulled their child from the school due to bullying that was never addressed. The office staff is just plain rude to parents and students. The communication with teachers for grades and assignments is very poor. Some teachers are on one website, some aren't on a site at all, and some are on a complete different site and sites aren't updated as frequently as the teachers claim. There is no continuity. The over-all attitude at the school is negative. There are some great teachers although far and few. This year's test scores will be very telling...."
