"The school is like any other school as it has its good and bad points. Overall the school is athletically and academically average however it is the staff members/admins, not the teachers, who i believe can be better. The way the school handles things can be questionable. Recently a widely known club who has been there for years has been discontinued because the school believes the big event it does twice a year is too much to handle. It is a popular event many people look forward to. The decision seems very unfair and unjust. Compared to other smaller clubs, this club helps members learn more about team work and leadership through creating and hosting the event. The event was planned and executed wholly by club officers and volunteers with the help of the adviser. Schools are supposed to create opportunities, not destroy it."

"This school is extremely diverse and welcoming. There are some teachers that do not teach as well as others, but many (if not all) genuinely want their kids to succeed. There is constantly something going on on campus, and events such as Spirit Week and lunchtime dance parties create an environment of fun while also encouraging academic proficiency and a good work/life balance."

"At AHS everyone is part of our big family. From the day you walk in as a freshman, you are included into our community. There are so many spirit activities and events and there's always something fun going on. Games aside, the curriculum is serious. While we don't compete against our classmates, we all are motivated to get good grades."

"American High school is a great school! i spent all four years of high school career at this school. I played a sport every season and was an active member in leadership class. There are some really great teachers at this school who have invested their time into improving learning amongst the students"

"Overall , the experience over the past 4 years was pretty good, but we got a new principal who makes every one pay for what was previously free with the old principle. Also, the lockouts are SOOOO long , if people are late to class, they have to stand in a line to get a pass. Making them even later to class then they we going to be in the first place."
