"The teachers at Normal Community do make an effort to make sure the students understand the material. Some teachers work very hard and aim to make lessons and class time engaging. However some teachers wish to not put much effort into grading and do not make their class unique. The teachers at Normal Community are friendly and do try to help students that ask for it. Teaching styles vary from teacher to teacher which makes each class different. Grading at this school is not consistent. Some teachers base grades off of work and others performance in class, rather than quizzes or tests. This makes it difficult to determine the type of work needed per class. The teachers do answer the majority of student questions in and outside of the classroom and are willing to stay after hours to help."

"My school is unique because we all come together as a family. Bullying is something almost never seen at our school as the upperclassmen work to help the lowerclassmen instead of bullying them. My school has tremendous spirit at sporting and non-sporting events and always go above and beyond at school events."
