"Soooo I'm a 7th grader currently and let me just tell you, this school is better than your typical down the street home school with ghetto kids. It's a better school than Andover, Highland Oaks, etc. I think the BEAT (I'm in the BEAT) is pretty cool I guess like it's not just a random title; they actually have a Technology class, Agriscience, Sports Med, and Anatomy and Physiology that take the place of electives in the BEAT. On the "regular" side(aka general population but at school its called regular) you can choose your electives but in the BEAT, it's laid out for you as soon as you walk in so you don't get to choose, but it's not entirely bad. The BEAT is about 300-400 kids so everyone kinda knows each other and nobody bullies or is mean. I don't know how it's like on the other side for sure, but I know that our new principal is improving things and instead of wasting time and money punishing bad kids, she rewards good kids. (She is so sweet omg) The clubs are great, too. I'm in Robotics and I recommend everyone join bc it's really fun!! We compete in competitions and all that other stuff. All in all, it's a good school and if you're at a dead end but want to be safe, go there."

"All my kids went to this middle school. The school offers lots of services and helpful programs. The college prep program is great and I have met bad, good, great teachers. It's a A school and has shown improvement every year. Like any school a students and parent participation in their education and success will determine how well they do. I think it's a great school."

"I graduated from this school last year as a BEAT student. In my opinion, during my sixth grade year, I flourished, but as a seventh grader, my teachers gave up and didn't care about our education. During my seventh grade year, they had the nerve to judge who was smarter and not as smart and put half of the classes in Algebra 1 for two years and Geometry in eighth grade. I, unfortunately, was put Algebra 1 for two years. This was unfair, considering others who made it into Geometry didn't even pay attention. The teacher was simply picking favorites. There was no diversity between lower achieving students and higher achieving students at all. The choice made in this school are biased and unfair. I do no recommend anyone to consider going to the BEAT program when looking for a magnet program."

"Im not sure if i would recommend anyone to go to this school. Im an 8th grader in the BEAT and thank god its my last year here. The school is full of children that are overly to grown for their age students have even gotten pregnant at this school, they also do drugs here. But opps they foget to mention this to students and parents for the obvious reasoons they hide this from people going to the schools parent. The BEAT is an good program, but trust me your child can and will find better then this magnet school. You have to be at least making all A's to get honor roll here and other awards. Oh and the so call tutors here dont even know how to do Algebra probably dont know how to do geometry either. They are also quit unfair in this program giving others chances after they keep making probation more 2 times every year but yet they still keep them here, for what i dont not know. We the students have to money for ffa dues even if were not in it if you dont pay you have to leave. Truly all the money we put out in this school they should have the most advanced equipment not old things from 2003. Dont send your child here they deserve better and trust me you will find better."
