    "Clark Montessori is a wonderful school! It hosts visitors from around the world (Australia, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Canada) and across the country each year. The emphasis is not on standardized testing, but it is not ignored either. The school is in a new GREEN building, and looks forward to bringing back it's chickens and bees, as well as small gardens."

    "Let me respectfully disagree as an African-American parent with the last post. I think ALL students are scrutinized. I can tell you about some white students that have been asked to go because of thier academics as well as Blacks. I'd agree there should be weeding out of students that can't compete, like at Walnut Hills. The disctrict has plenty of other schools for kids that cannot compete. If yours is one, might I suggest Withrow down the street. The reason your child got in is you were in montessori from the beginning...that's the "test" to get in. Which means, like Walnut or SCPA, kids can and should be weeded out to places where they can learn. As for donation checks, I am glad folks are doing that...and if they get an added benefit, good. Maybe if YOU donated time/money to something, you would get what yoiu are looking for as well. I'm tired of us saying the system is doing us wrong. I'm not teaching my child that way and neither should you. Clark is a wonderful school. I want to send mine to a private school to finish out his time (partly to get superior athletics) and he won't have it. He wants to stay. We agree on one thing. Rupa Townsend is an issue."

    "I have a student at Clark Montessori, that has been in the Montessori program since Kindergarten. While the Jr. High School Communities are outstanding, the High School is lacking. The courses are not and have never been the issue. The issue is that ethnic students are scrutinized and are not offered opportunities. Clark is in the SILENT process of weeding out students that are not 4.0 students. Basically, this public school wants to "hand pick" its students, unfairly. BEWARE if your student is not a 4.0, Clark will find a way to say your child does not belong there, regardless if it is a Cinti PUBLIC SCHOOL with NO ENTRANCE EXAM. The Principle has never related to the student body, in which whose parents lack the LARGE DONATION CHECKS. Very evident."

    "I am a parent of a seventh grader at Clark Montessori and just bought a house to stay in that school district. My child had a very serious issue with a teacher. The principal has handled things in a very unprofessional manner. Given the fact that we have many more years at this school I can say I totally regret sending my child here and buying a house to stay at the school. It's very important when issues arise to have good communication with the principal and that's not what your going to get. Be prepared to be ignored. My child passed the test to go to walnut but at the time we really felt that Clark was a great school. The teachers have been great but again when issues come up and they always do you have to be able to trust and communicate with the principal and I can tell you first hand you will not get that with the current principal. I'm in the process of now finding my child another school."

    "Both schools have high academic rigor. It just depends what atmosphere your child will work best in. Walnut Hills is traditional, while Clark adheres to its Montessory philosophy. I knew my son would flourish in the Montessori environment and he is in tenth grade at Clark. He was in traditional schools prior to that and did okay but partially because I was always checking up on him. That is not the case now. He is genuinely interested in his assignments and grades."
