"I would not recommend this school based on personal experience. The principle needs to retire. If your kids do not have any special needs, or if you do not ever disagree with anything, you might not notice the arrogance of this principle. He does not know how to listen to concerns without being defensive, which keeps him form looking out for the best interests of the children. I even know people who have sold their homes just to get out of this school."

"This is a great school for you kid if he or she come from a environment that is never held accountable for their actions. The principle in this school hates confrontation. Kids that follow the rules and do their best get the short end of the stick at this school. They still get punished with the ones that misbehave and miss out on time the could be learning because of the misbehavior of other kids. The some of the teachers are great but, they can't teach well because of the lack of support from the principle and the denial of the parents. This school as well as the dist looks great on the surface but looks can be deceiving."

"Our son is a first grader at Ostmann with mild behavioral issues. I can't begin to say enough about how fairly he has been dealt with and how well the communication has been from his teachers all the way up to Dr. Sartorius. The teachers are outstanding and parental involvement is incredible. We are truly blessed to have such a great elementary school."

"I have noticed a drastic decline in my son's attitute and behavior, since the new Principal assumed responsibility of this school. The teachers have always worked with my son and in my opinion have done a good job with him. My son's negative behavior is a direct reflection of this principal's negative environment that he has created. What was once a happy and positive environment at school, has now changed with the new leadership style! The school use to focus on the positive, rather than the negative. This environment is not conducisve to toward education. Kathy"

"The teachers are great and care about the children, however I feel that the Principal is arrogant and out of touch with education. I do not have any confidence in this Principal because he talks down to everyone. I believe the Principal's attitude reflects the leadership style of Central office. L Smith"
