"Name one student who has said, "WOW, this worksheet has inspired my entire life!" You won't find a student like this. Students want to learn outside of textbooks, especially worksheets. There are few teachers at Reavis High School who possess this valuable teaching style, most of who are teacher in higher levels of learning classroom. I believe the teachers at Reavis need to implement different styles of teaching. Organization is prime in learning as well as the confidence needed to teach anything. Essentially, I've heard both sides; some teachers at Reavis are great, while some are not. Every student is different as well, which is why many teachers should have a passion to involve themselves towards different teaching styles. To illustrate, one student may be a visual learner, while the other an auditory learner. So, as reviewed, it's great, but everything can use some improvements always!!!"

"What makes Reavis High School unique, is the amount of resources and the diversity in choices available for students. A downside I will mention is the lack of motivation teacher's and even counselor's give towards students. Personally speaking, no one pushed me to take honors and AP classes, but if teacher's began at an earlier level to push this towards students, I believe anyone can be capable of challenging themselves for the better. Additionally, I believe the ACT (or PARCC currently) should be introduced to the students freshman year. Many students who do not pursue to challenge themselves or who unfortunately don't have the right mentors to guide them towards accomplish more than "just enough" are stuck at doing the bare minimum, which unfortunately shies many students away from the competitive world ahead of them. This is seen at Reavis through the "bare minimum" push towards attending Moraine Valley Community College. I understand the financial outlook on this choice, but not everyone should be pushed towards Moraine. Essentially, if the students are taught well academically, they will excel in scholarships, and as a result will not have to worry about educational costs. In short, it's great, but a better "push" is needed at this school to challenge students."

"I would choose this school over and over again. I loved going to Reavis High School, because it was more of a home and family than it was a high school. I learned new things everyday while being surrounded by teachers, staff, and friends that all cared about each other. The community was there and cared for everyone and everybody knew everyone even thought there was 2,000 students that attended."
