"I love St. Laurence School because we are family there. They go out of their way to help families who are struggling to keep their boys in school. They help as best they can. That is why they really can use the $20,000 because they are always trying to help our families."

"It feels like home! The staff, teachers, parents and students are good people, who really care about the well being of each and every student! Leaders are born here and heart of gold are found here! Life is Good!"

"The student body is the most diverse I've ever encountered. Integration is there, of course groups are formed -- that's natural, but when I was a student, my peers made a conscious effort to talk to everyone. This is what separates STL from the rest of the pack. Tolerance and discipline is expected while school pride is contagious. The faculty -- at least when I was there -- was amazing. When I look back, the kids/young adults were not 'fake' nice, but genuinely humble; most kids came from blue collared families so they treated the school as a second family. I just wish the academics offered more AP classes and vocational tracks for those that weren't going to college. The school maybe small, and not as flashy as Rita, Rice, or Carmel but it's the hidden gem -- they guy next door that you shouldn't underestimate."

"Our third child is about to graduate from St. Laurence. 14 years ago when we went to an open house at St. Laurence, we really loved it. Just to compare, we went to visit other schools in the area, but we did not have the warm, welcoming feeling as we did in this school. Our third boy is graduating soon and we still brag about this great school. We really appreciate the respect the children demonstrate when you visit the school for any reason (pay tuition...), the students treat you with respect, open the doors, guide you to the area you need to go(you don't find this welcoming everywhere.) After 14 years, we are still impressed with the great manners children demonstrates 'They sure become the greatest leaders we would like to see everywhere' Great Academics and extra-curriculum activities."

"This is probably one of the greatest schools in the area. The teachers go above and beyond the normal call of duty. The atmosphere is awesome and everyone knows everyone else; you are treated as a second family. Don't let this school be pushed aside, you will not regret the time spent here and the lessons learned are essential for life. If given the opportunity I wouldn't pick another school. This is the place where leadership begins."
