"Some teachers try to get their students involved while others do not. Their is a controversy between teachers because some love teaching students who want to learn, but others do the minimum. Students do need extra help sometimes and it takes a dedicated to do give them the help they need. The teachers at my school are amazing and they help with regular day to day decisions from time to time instead of being like other teachers and not putting in the effort to know their students. I appreciate my teachers, but I have seen teachers that do not care and that's why my rating is okay, because it takes all teachers to make education better and not just the handful I got lucky enough to have. The grading policy my teachers follow are a little hard to deal with seeing as to when a student gets a bad grade on a test their grade drops to around that test grade while them getting an A on the test barely brings up their grade. In addition to the daily grades counting as only 20% and the minor grades counting as 10% of students grades. The grading policy isn't something teachers have any control over, but some double daily or minor grades to make the weight heavier and bring up students grades by points at a time. This method roles students grades from 89's to 90's because they needed an A in that class. Communicating with your teachers about your grades usually helps your chances in getting better grades and shows them that you care. My teachers are very approachable and I feel comfortable going to them and asking questions. Many students don't feel comfortable doing this because their teachers don't tell them it's okay or they don't think the teacher will care. I would like my college teachers to take some interest in me as a student or show that their students are important. This would help with the learning environment and make things easier in the classroom. I do understand that this is hard seeing as there are so many students in classes, but it does make a difference."
