"I loved attending this school, there was something for everyone. I got into lacrosse which I never heard of until I got to O'Dowd. Although the coaching staff was not my favorite it definitely kept me busy after my two years of basketball were over - varsity was too tough to get into saying as most of the girls my age ended up going D1. This school was great and I would do it over in a heart beat."

"The teachers here are great I have had several teachers who I throughly enjoyed having and learned a lot from. Even the ones I disliked, I have to admit I learned a lot from them."

"Most teachers care a lot about each individual student's understanding of material and success in the class. Generally, teachers are of good quality. If they are not, this is known by many students and often other faculty members."

"Most of the teachers at my school are very knowledgable and extremely enthusiastic about their subject. Although there are the odd few that need to improve the way they tech the information or control the class, all of them seem to genuinely care about the wellbeing of the students."

"Overall, it's a good school. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of good teachers. Most of the teachers I've had have either been mediocre or completely clueless. The students can be intimidating because some of them are... very "privileged" and they make that known. The parking situation is less than stellar-- only about half the seniors this year who wanted a parking spot got one. The Soph/Junior lot fills up by 8:00 second semester and my car got broken into because the surrounding neighborhood is quite dangerous. In my opinion, they put too much money into unnecessary "improvements" when there are essential problems to be taken care of. Also, the librarians and deans WILL take your jacket if it is 50 degrees outside and your coat doesn't have an O'Dowd logo on it. Another's thing-- catholic masses are the most dreadful 80 minutes you'll ever have to sit through. That's all the bad stuff. The good part is: you're bound to get a few good teachers (and you will really appreciate them), most of the students are nice if you're willing to intrude on their middle school clique. If you get to school early, your car will be fine, and if you throw on an O'Dowd jacket you will stay warm all day. Make the most of your experience. High school isn't usually great, but O'Dowd is much better than public school."
