"Both of my children graduated from Mainland ( 2005 and 2008 ) and had an excellent experience. Mainland allows you to challenge yourself by offering a wide array of AP classes that are taught by qualified teachers. As noted in a previous post there are many extracurricular activities in which you may participate including the highly rated Academic and Mock Trial teams as well as sports. With the new schedule in place Mainland seems like a small college campus rather than a regimented high school. Finally, Mainland is in the final stages of a 35 million dollar renovation which has dramatically improved and enhanced the physical plant."

"I truly enjoyed my time at mainland and know I am well prepared for college. I was able to take 11 ap classes throughout the years and passed 10 out of the 11 exams. The extracurricular programs are excellent, many teams or clubs end up competing at the national level. I know that in the recent years our completive speech team, academic team, mock trial, as well as others (such as the marching band) placed in the top three at National tournaments. Yes sometimes there is a chance that you may get a bad teacher, but isn't that the same everywhere. Overall the good outweigh the bad in this school."

"Great school, plenty of activities and top notch academics for students to take advantage of. Students will get out as much as they put into their high school experience at Mainland. New schedule this year has helped reduce student stress while maintaining strong core academics. I moved into the district so my kids could attend this school. I don't regret that decision at all."

"All I know is I passed 7 out of the 8 AP tests I took here (5 of them at the top score). The arts program was fantastic as well as the sports. Neither is favored over the other and most of the teachers are passionate about both their subject and their students."

"Mainland still boasts being a Blue Ribbon School while that is no longer true, they did receive Blue Ribbon status once but have not stayed current. Many language programs were cut and there are more cuts pending across all programs. It is doubtful that they could acheive Blue Ribbon status at this time."
