"My daughter just finished kindergarten and will be attending first grade next week. This school is the best in Beaufort County. Teachers team teach, and work in small groups so the kids can work at their highest levels and not be held back. The science program is awesome! My daughter loved working the garden. And we have the best art, music, and drama programs!!! Test scores are high because the teachers care and they take the time to work with all the kids individually. This is a science and technology based curriculum. We chose our house to make sure we would be at this school! Go OKATIE Owls!"

"My children transferred to Okatie from Bluffton Elementary this year. Both of my children are high performers and Okatie by far services them better. Bluffton used my child as a teachers assistant and though extra specialized assignments were offered by her previous teacher, they never followed through concentrating instead on the non-performers. So much for equal opportunity education! Okatie gears her homework to her skill level and sends her to the GT teacher for more challenging work despite the fact that she is not yet in the 3rd grade (when district officially offers GT programs to students). Pinckney and Lawton are also by far more experienced then the team at BLE and run a tight ship. Also the teacher teams are focused and communicate in a manner that is noticeable. By far a superior public school."

"I have a son who attends Okatie and he loves his school. I think that the teachers there are wonderful and caring. He have learn so much in the third grade that I'm sure he will do wonderful in the 4th. His teacher was Ms. Sweet. He attended the after-school program which helped him with math and reading skills. Okatie Elementary is the best."
