    "Windom has been a marbvelous and truly wonderful experience for the education of our three children who have attended there since we relocated back to the Buffalo area 4 years ago. The teachers are dedicated, the staff caring and all work to the good of the students. The PTO organization is strong and provides great events and programs for students and families."

    "I LOVE Windom the teachers are helpful and the principal is amazing. Mrs. Gloss is a leader and always willing to go the extra step to help out. I love how she relates to the students as individuals and is there for that reason! As an educator, not in the Orchard Park district I see that we are under rated in the Orchard Park schools, but I believe that it is because the people judging our school really have no idea how great it really is."

    "Windom is one of the best kept secrets in the Western New York Area! The teachers are there for the kids 110%. There are so many incidences that they go above and beyond what is expected of them. The problem is, they do it, but don't broadcast it, so many people never know. This is a school where teachers care about not only about the learning, but also about the general wellfare of the child. They take extreme care and consideration when placing each child in the classroom they are going to, and will bend over backwards to help if there are any concerns. Yes, lesson plans vary within the same grade level, but each teacher sets up their classroom to meet the level of need for their students. Some classes need more time than others to learn specific lessons. Not every child learns at the same pace."

    "My children transferred to Windom in 2005. The school and staff were very helpful and accommodating with the transfer. Everything since then has been frustrating. Teachers within the same grade have widely varying lesson plans. Due to new state testing the children are inundated with work, often coming home with homework assignments they don t understand since there was no time to cover material in-class. There is a lot at this school that just feels like exercises in futility."

    "We moved to this district because we were very concerned with the student/teacher ratio that most schools now provide. I have found that Windom Elementary has provided my son with encouragement and extra help when needed. It is a safe and friendly environment that I feel is needed in all schools. The communication that the teachers and staff provide is extaordinary. When my son went into first grade he became terrified of going to school. His teachers worked one on one with our family to ensure he was not overwhelmed and gave him extra encouragment to proceed. He now loves school and enjoys working and learning from his teachers. We will be moving out of state and my fear is that I will not be able to find a school that is near the quality that Windom provides."
