"The IB program at Sebastian has given me what I have always needed- a challenge. I have formed meaningful personal relationships with all my teachers and have been taught a different way of thinking about the world. Although IB students tend to be isolated within the "IB bubble," I find this more of a blessing than a curse. It provides students with a positive, close-knit peer group. I have thrived here and I will miss it terribly."

"I only attended this school my senior year. I was put in the honors program, where I took two AP classes and the rest were honors or elective. Maybe it was because I was a senior, or maybe it was because all the smart kids were in IB, but the AP program was a joke. I know most of the kids in my AP Lit class where also going to retake the AP Lang exam because they failed the first time. Also, the counselor I had was hardly ever in her office. I think it's ridiculous that I always had to chase down my counselor. When she was there, I felt rushed. I don't think it's smart for counselors to be divided by academy, because of course the honors counselor will be really overburdened. Still, I deserved to have someone who actually cared whether I got into college."

"Unless your in the band or involved in sports or IB don't expect anyone to care. The teachers are awesome, but the guidance counselors are a joke. They have no optional programs if your not satisfied with the school. No graduating early, they don't know anything about that. Every year I've been there they changed the schedule, I swear, every single year. How are students supposed to adapt to that? I strongly suggest Indian River Charter High School. They really work with their students. As for Sebastian, it's all about money."

"love the school so far. my son is a freshman.the one problem is the attendance thing. i checked him out of school early one day and still got a automated phone call asking me to call the school. well, i was the one who checked him out. when you are out sick, there is a number to call your child out sick, but that annoying phone call about the absence still comes that night, so whats the point of having the call in system?? other than this, great school so far. we have just been here since jan. 15th."
