"In 2009 I submitted a very favorable review; I must express my deepest concerns however, at the present time. There has been a changeover of principals and new policy changes have taken the school from its former policy of being open to parents and the community, to shutting the school away from parents and forbidding their presence on the campus. The morale is very much lower than it was; the staff is still very dedicated but I don't think they are being helped and given the support they need by the current administration. It is sad to see this little community school turned into hard, cold, county school!"

"This is the 2nd year in Hunger School and I so glad for that. I worked voluntary and I saw how the teachers work hard and with love with the kids. They has the good profeshion and the Principal Ms. B. she is so good cause she working for all the teachers gatte all the materials the kids need for school. Other thing the dean work hard in the school, she always put control in school and that is very, very good for bad custom some kids has. Hungerford I'm with you."

"Hungerford is a small school with lots of heart and character. Dr. Bovis and her administration have done an amazing job at turning things around for both students and staff. It's not often you see a principal drilling students on their multiplication tables after school hours! That shows to me the heart and passion she has to see her students excel. The atmosphere is now positive and encouraging thanks to lots of hard work. These students need much care and I think most of the teachers have a burden to reach out and inspire students that may be less motivated to be inspired, yet have such great potential and so much to offer. I am glad to be a part of a school that is constantly improving."

"My child has attended Hungerford for 2 yrs now and I am very disappointed at the level of education. The Administrative staff is very incompetent and the teachers are not motivated to teach at a higher level. You must put 150% effort into your child's education if they attend this school and you must stay on the administration if they agree to help your child excell. They do not hold up their end of the agreement. Extra effort has to be made by the parent for your child to excell. The school has had a grade of D 4 out of the last 5 years and is in it's 3rd year of not passing the AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress)."
