"My grandson attends this school. He has a learning disability and and IEP plan. The school has gone overboard in helping him. The principal is very cooperative and involved in the students progress."

"This little inner-city school has done the impossible by believing it could be done. Teachers and students reached higher than ever and were determined to achieve a school grade of an 'A.' Mission accomplished! What excellent leaders we are training in our schools for the future."

"Orange Center is a small neighborhood school that proved this year that academic excellence is possible for all students. We begin with the end in mind everyday. The combination of excellent leadership, dedicated teachers & staff, hard working students, and a focus on curriculum fidelity paved the way to an A. Orange Center students and staff will continue to build an A each day!"

"The Principal, Dr. Kennerly, is outstanding. She came last July and raised the standards for the school. The kids now believed in themselves and worked to build the school from an F to an A. The teachers are now engaged in teaching and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the children. Reading is emphasized because becoming proficient in reading is a key to success. Dr. Kennerly instituted strong procedures in the school (safety and discipline) which the students and teachers follow. The new President of the PTA is an outstanding leader whose nephew attends Orange Center. Need to get more parents involved and the outside community involved in the PTA. Chorus is going to be introduced this year. Strings was introduced last year. Also, need to see sports programs and mentors set up for these kids."
