"My son started 6th grade at Southwest this year and I am pretty happy overall. No school is perfect, but I am definitely satisfied and I feel like he is getting a good education. There are some pretty awesome teachers and staff members at Southwest. There are also many programs and extracurricular activities for the students. I had the option to move to another location in Orlando (a nicer place) and I chose to stay put because the Middle School on that side of town is not nearly as good as Southwest....and I am very happy that I chose to stay."

"I love this school. My son is in 6th grade at SWMS and it is the best! The teachers are amazing, the staff is extremely helpful and the kids are wonderful. You can't go wrong with Southwest Middle School!"

"I went here in 6th grade and it was the best school ever!! It was my best school year. I'm now in 7th grade somewhere else. I wish I could go back to SWMS!!"

"i used to go to southwest middle for 6 grade i later moved to birmingham michigan the 5 richest place in america. its supposed to have one of the best education but honestly southwest middle school taught me alot. alot more then derby middle school has and i've gone there for two years. southwest middle had some of the nicest kids you'll ever meet. the sweetest teachers and the best choir teacher i've ever expirenced in my life. they had great education there not only did i learn math science etc,etc. but i learned about loyalty and trust. i recomend this school for any type of student. i heard mrs. browns the new principal?!!? that school should be at the top now. best teacher not kidding."
