"As a former teacher of the past 5 years at Westridge, the school has had its ups and downs. There is good & bad in all situations in life and Westridge has had it's share of good & bad. The custodial staff maintain a clean environment for students, considering the building is 30+ years old. Now if that could only spread to other parts of the school. One issue that seemed to change each new school year was the rules. Rules, polices, procedures are changed by administration on a monthly basis which not only confuses the teachers but definately confuses the students. And most of that stems from the cloths that kids wear. Parents need to make sure kids are appropriately dressed in order for learning to occur. Some of the teachers are great. But if they don't get all great teachers, they won't succeed in their mission. I"

"As a former instructor at Westridge (2006), I can provide a more accurate assessment of its instructional capabilities. The administration is sound and firm. Rules are strictly enforced to minimize student distractions and ensure optimal learning. The children are no different from other adolescents in other schools, although many encounter more challenges at home. And herein lies the problem - teachers can only be successful if they are supported by parents. With less than 15% parent-involvement, it becomes exceedingly difficult to institute positive change and reinforcement of academic and social skills. Teachers cannot be blamed for student failures when parents are uninvolved and failing to support their children academically, emotionally, & financially. Regardless, I loved the administration, students, and community of Westridge and maintain that it is one of the best in Orange County. If you have specific questions, I would be happy to address them. Email me at nicholecm@yahoo.com."

"I love Westridge Middle School!I enjoyed my 2.5 years there. Its a great enviroment to learn in.While I attended WMS the school had a change in principals but yet it manage to keep the school in shape. However there was one thing I really disliked;I dislike the fact that we had to tuck in our shirts.I always thought that the way we dress doesn't have nothing to do with the way we learn. But overall I really like WMS and I would support it with anything."

"Westridge is a good school dont get me wrong. The other students are nice and friendly. I feel that while I was out there teachers would discipline students for no reason at all. Also the teachers are really nice they are easy to bound with. You can talk to the teachers about anything. The principal on the other hand is very kind and understanding. He wouldnt like to punish you for some of the things the teachers right you up for, but the teacher say they saw you do something so he feel he has to go along! The administration team is very discipline and strict and they make sure all of the rules are being followed. The school overall is a very fun and exciting place to learn! I love this school and will support them in anything!"
