"Amazing school! The PTA is wonderful, the staff really does care about the kids, and my son LOVES going everyday. I can't wait for my next two to join the Ortona Family, because that's what we are - a Family!"

"My third grade son transferred to Ortona elementary for the 2010-2011 school year. It is a really wonderful school, we absolutely love it. He did very well even starting 2 weeks late into the school (due to our move cross-country from Utah), he received plenty of personalized attention and direction. The staff is helpful, friendly, supportive and professional. It is a great school an I highly recommend it. I'm very sad we are moving so he won't be attending for fourth grade."

"I love Ortona because they have such a wonderful staff that support the children and education. Also grandma Talley has a great program where you can go get anything you need for anyone in the family and during the holidays she helps all families in need with food and presents."

"We are a small neighborhood school with 254 students. I know every one of them by name and also know most of the parents. We are a very close knit family. Something that's not common in Daytona Beach as it is made up of mostly transient and vacationing families."
