"I think Grand Valley is fantastic. Sure, it needs work but the staff is trying its best. Parents aren't even trying to make a difference so they shouldn't cut down the staff and the principal who are."

"My daughter has attended all four years at Grand Valley High School. The teacher turnover rate is extremely high. This year in her Jounrnalism classes she had three different teachers during the year. The majority of the teachers are fresh out of college or have less than 3 years of experience. The majority of the teachers do not show support for the all the activities of the school or general any school spirit. The principal appears to be set in his ways and uncaring when in conferences or with the students. There are a handful of teachers who have been with this school the past four years, who are enthusiatic about their jobs, care about teaching the students and do a very good job, unfortunately these teachers are few. My daughter has needed individual tutoring in the core classes, fortunately I was able to provide the tutoring."

"This school is improving academically and the dual enrollment opportunities are great for the students. They have great sports programs but need to support the arts. As a parent you get conflicting information; they say they want involved parents but they don't communicate well and don't make parents feel welcom in the school."

"My two students have both utilized the 'dual enrollment' program. This has put them both at an advantage for college. My oldest will be starting her first year of college with her second year classes. Thank you for maintaining this program."
