"We have an AP-for-All program here. While it's nice and all to have tougher curriculum and weighted grades, it doesn't quite feel like our school is serious about it yet. Many students are forced to take AP and are not committed. The teachers don't want to change their teaching styles, even if it doesn't align with AP. Some teachers aren't even necessarily qualified to teach them. However, I think it is a step in the right direction. I see very little to none of but a few parents that are involved with their children's education. Few but the few that are have made such an amazing impact. While I have had my turmoils with this school I wouldn't go back and change schools if I could. Many people really do care. It's very tight-knit."

"Some nice students, some not so nice. It's like everybody here is clones."

"It's tough. It's nice if you are a committed student, but not effective if you are not."

"I've gone to school here my whole life. My one concern is the attitude. They "kind of" encourage you to go to college. I love that we are constantly involved with CMC to provide cheap and reliable education to many of us or are considering continuing their education. However, I do not like the mantra that we can just "settle". Nonetheless, the teachers are a tight-knit community. There's some I love and some I tolerate. Many have very similar views (considering the geology), and some are very judgmental. Only a few try harder than they have to. However, our principal and many administrative staff are some of the best people you will ever meet. They truly care about the kids."

"The teachers are very kind and desire the best for most of the students. I feel that I can approach any of the teachers if I am having difficulty, and I know that they will be willing to give me aid. However, the grading among all the teachers is very inconsistent. I wish the grading was uniform among all teachers and that they would not grade so subjectively or based on their opinion."
