"What I like about Grand Valley High School is the opportunity to have AP courses for everyone in the school, not just for Juniors and Seniors. I also like how everyone is involved and being able to get to know each other in an environment that is very strong. There are some faults though, like the favorites that go on in class and in sports that need to change to be able to have more students go out for the sports they like. Not having to decide if they want to go through the sport because they don't like the way that they are treated or to suffer through to be able to play their favorite sport. There are some pros and some cons, but even though many do not like the way some things are run. I just like the opportunity that is given to be able to have AP for all throughout my whole high school career."

"I just transferred to Grand Valley High School from Rifle High School in January 2016. I transferred because of the academics and opportunities offered here at Grand Valley. They have AP classes and really do their best to help students prepare for the next step whether it's the ACT for juniors or the next step after high school. They work with Colorado Mountain College and the local fire department to offer programs and classes that students are interested in. It's a great school full of great teachers and students."

"i just transferred from a different high school in this valley and the culture here is outstanding. the teachers care and the stuff members do all that they can to give us the opportunity to experience new things and be prepared for college. my last school was nothing like Grand Valley High School. Other schools should take note because me and my friends actually want to come to school because we feel safe and look forward to learning."

"I loved how the school got me ready for college and always focused on my future. It taught me responsibility, gave me a work ethic, and helped form habits that would last the rest of my life. The teachers made a tremendous impact on my life and I strive to make them proud."

"This school unlike many others, naturally pushes you in your classes. Most of the core classes are AP and it is manditory for the students. Once one of the classes becomes AP, if you are taking that class, AP is "normal". Even though the school does push the students in academics, it does not make the homework load any easier. Many of the students have sleepless nights due to everything needed to be completed. That being said, the teachers sometimes don't realize all that is done and still decide to sometimes degrade the students about their future. The staff negatively is something definitely something to be worked on, but other than that, the environment of the school is academically successful and there is nothing but growth."
