    "My child just finished Kindergarten this year, she had a fabulous year with a wonderful teacher. I had an option of enrolling my child in another schools too...... my reasons for enrolling my child here were; child excelling in any subject are constantly challenged and they go up to next class for that particular subject. the class size is small. after being here for a year my experience has been wonderful. love all the teachers absolutely loved the kindergarten teachers:)) my child was with Ms. Totman."

    "We put 3 boys through this school from Pre-school to 4th grade. They received the best well-rounded (arts & sciences) elementary school education they could have received anywhere. It s an academic and family community with something for nearly everyone: great curriculum, extra-curricular activities, fascinating class trips, fun plays, competitive science/invention projects, etc. Staffed with world class teachers, principal leadership, and admins, AASC has a long history of attracting families (parents and volunteers) who are fully engaged in their childrens' academic development as well as their personal growth. If you re a disengaged auto-pilot parent, then you and your child may benefit less from AASC. On the other hand, if you're serious about staying involved with your child's education from the beginning and giving them a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning and appreciation for the world around them, and working with like-minded parents, then this is the school for you."

    "Arts Academy at Scottsdale has been a wonderful school for all 3 of our children. We have been there since 2006 and have been very happy with the close knit, nurturing environment that challenges each student academically at their own level . Because this school is small and the teachers are fantastic, education can really be individualized to meet the needs of each student. The Pricipal does a great job with the children and encourages them to excel just as the teachers do. This school also supports creativity and introduces them to music, art, and drama with performances of spectacular plays at the end of the year. This school is a hidden gem for those of us fortunate enough to have found it!"

    "My two children have been students at AASC. What a true blessing this school has been for my kids. I can see a huge difference in their confidence and attitude. This school has changed their lives!!! They love it here, and the teachers are AWESOME and so supportive of the students. I LOVE the how each class has levelized learning groups, and this allowed my kids to find success and confidence. Small student to teacher ratio, a wonderful active PTA, great leadership, and great kids. The school has a great small community feel and they are truly a family at AASC. I encourage everyone to check out this wonderful school!"

    "When we selected Arts Academy (AASC) for our child, I had read every review for the school on this site. The majority were very positive; I reasoned that the few poor reviews must have been from random disgruntled parents so I disregarded them. I learned that I should have instead seen them as big red flags. Our experience at AASC was miserable. The principal stood by without introducing himself during our campus tour (we didn't even realize he was the principal until we were already enrolled), and he proved to be impersonable and not at all interactive with us as parents. During our child's year of kindergarten, he was labeled "gifted but disruptive" and set apart from the rest of his class, seated alone and isolated from the other children. There was little to no effort to determine a better teaching/learning method for him and no mention or effort to develop an IEP (as schools which receive public funding are required to). Since moving him to a public school in the Scottsdale USD he is now flourishing, has an IEP in place, and absolutely loves school -- such a contrast from his miserable experience at AASC! If your child is anything but "perfect" and "textbook", beware of AASC!"
